Privacy Policy

This policy describes how [COMPANY NAME] ("we," "us") collects and uses information when you use Ad Spec Studio (the "Service"). We collect only what we need to run the Service, and we do not sell your information.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.
• Uploaded media. The video, audio, and image files you submit for QC or transcoding. These are stored temporarily for processing only.
• QC history. Filenames, selected presets, check results, and timestamps for jobs you run, retained so you can reference past reports.
• Billing information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never receive or store your card number — payment details go directly to Stripe and are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
• Technical basics. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.

2. How we use information

To operate the Service: authenticate you, process your files, generate QC reports, maintain your history, manage your subscription, communicate with you about your account, and keep the Service secure. We do not use your uploaded creative for any purpose other than processing your requests, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

3. Retention and deletion

• Uploaded media and generated renditions are automatically deleted from our servers approximately one hour after their last use.
• Account data and QC history are retained while your account is active. To delete your account and its history, email us at [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will remove it within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes (e.g., invoices).

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate: Stripe (payments), our cloud hosting provider (which stores data on our behalf), and font/CDN providers that may receive your IP address when pages load. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share your uploaded creative with anyone.

5. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Access to production systems is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

7. Children

The Service is for business use and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your choices and rights

You can access and update your account email by contacting us, cancel your subscription through the billing portal, and request deletion of your account as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law (such as access, correction, or portability) — contact us and we will honor applicable requests.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice, with the effective date above updated accordingly.
